28th Annual Patriots Dinner

Hello Lancaster County Democratic,

The weather did deter some out of town guests, but local supporters candidates and elected officials filled the banquet hall at the Center for People in Need to recognize community and campaign volunteers. We took the time to reflect on our successes and to recognize candidates for the upcoming primary election. 

Senator Ben Nelson delivered the Democratic Message. Before the dinner, he spoke to a large gathering of high school, college and community young Democrats.

We recognized the dedication and accomplishments of late City Councilwoman Jayne Snyder and presented Torchbearer's Award in her honor.

I am more than pleased to recognize these outstanding volunteers who care about the community and who give so much of their time and talent.

Volunteer of the Year - Bennie Shobe and Debi McGee

Community Outreach Award - Christa Yoakum

Labor Award - AFSCME Local 2468

Chair's Award - Ken Mass, AFL-CIO

Patriots' Award - Jean Sanders and Becki Gaston-Wise

Torchbearer's Award - Jayne Snyder
