The Lancaster County Democratic Party has voted its support and opposition to the following legislative bills. Please take our positions into account when debating these bills.

SUPPORT LR 13CA (Schimek)-Constitutional Amendment to increase Legislative salaries.

SUPPORT LB 35 (Schimek)-Change absentee voting to early voting.

SUPPORT LB 37 (Schimek)-Change procedures for the Nebraska Hall of Fame.

SUPPORT LB 50 (Landis)-Prohibit housing discrimination based on sexual orientation.

SUPPORT LB 53 (Schimek)-Restoration of voting rights for ex-felons.

SUPPORT LB 96 (Janssen)-National guard tuition credit.

SUPPORT LB 188 (Beutler)-Change provisions for political accountability and disclosure.

SUPPORT LB 354 (Preister)-Provide a service fee for employees who are not a member of a labor union.

SUPPORT LB 368 (Retirement Committee)-Change retirement rate for school employees.

SUPPORT LB 495 (Stuhr)-Provide a medical cost-of-living adjustment for school employees.

SUPPORT LB 554 (Beutler)-Increase the minimum wage.

SUPPORT LB 591 (Preister)-Strengthen open meetings law.

SUPPORT LB 712 (Thompson)-Adopt Nebraska prescription card act.

SUPPORT LB 744 (Price)-Change provisions for assisted living facilities.

SUPPORT LB 746 (D. Pederson)-Provide appropriations for providers of free legal services.

SUPPORT LB 759 (Chambers)-Prohibit employment discrimination based on sexual orientation.

SUPPORT LB 760 (Chambers)-Change the death penalty to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.

OPPOSE LB 454 (Combs)-Allow concealed weapons.

OPPOSE LB 506 (Erdman)-Change method of death penalty to lethal injection
