The Lancaster County Democratic Party at its last central committee meeting voted to endorse and oppose the bills listed below. Please consider our endorsement when voting on these important matters.
SUPPORT LR 14CA (Schimek)- Bill to allow the people to vote on expanded gambling.
SUPPORT LR 219CA (Beutler)- Constitutional amendment to eliminate term limits.
SUPPORT Any effort to provide more accountability and public disclosure of LB 775 tax credits.
SUPPORT LB 818 (Schimek) Which continues the women's health initiative.
SUPPORT LB 1115 (Bourne) That expands the membership of the Public Employee's Retirement Board.
SUPPORT LB 1136 (Janssen) To place health insurance costs outside the school finance lid.
OPPOSE LB 526 (Erdman) That replaces the electric chair with lethal injection.
OPPOSE LB 1070 (Jensen) That would eliminate welfare money to post-secondary students.
OPPOSE LB 1083 (Jensen) That closes the regional centers unless adequate funding is provided for alternatives.
