Dear Senator Last,
The Lancaster County Democratic Party wanted to thank you for all your hard work this session. We commend you for your dedication to public service and the sacrifices you make for such a service.

We especially appreciate your vote to override Governor Johanns' veto of the appropriations, revenue, and school aid bill. The passage of those bills were vital to the health and wellbeing of the state of Nebraska and its most vulnerable citizens.

Once again thank you for your support of the University, K-12 education and other vital state programs. Thank you also for the courage it takes to raise taxes when necessary in order to ensure that such valued functions are able to continue to serve the people who need them most.
